My favorite book from my childhood is probably "Where the Wild Things Are". I've always loved the illustrations in it and it's been close to me for a long time. I believe that everything in your life affects you somehow and this book taught me that it's okay to be in your own world sometimes. I also think a theme in this book is that your family will love you no matter what.
This lesson of coming back to reality is relevant in my life because I often get worked up about nothing and just need to be alone for a while. In the book, Max starts to miss home after spending time with the Wild Things. This teaches that it's important to come back to reality after a little bit, because it will always be more important.
The book also teaches that your family will love you no matter what. When Max's mom gets mad at him, she sends him to his room without dinner. This makes it look like she's angry with him, but when Max comes back from Where the Wild Things Are there's soup waiting for him in his room. This shows that his mother still loves him even though she was upset.
"Where the Wild Thing Are" is one of my favorite books because of the important lessons it taught me that i hope never to forget.
I really like your post. I really like the themes you've come up with and developed.
ReplyDeleteThis post seems really meaningful to you because as you said you often get worked up over nothing. I like how you included the lesson, and I agree that the theme is that your family will love you no matter what. I never actually thought of this book in that way but I can see where you're coming from. Really nice post !
ReplyDeleteI like how you stated your theme in the beginning and got straight to the point.I also like how after you supported your theme you than explain the example. Something that you should have included are some quotes.
